[There's a knock on the door. When Wei Wuxian opens the door, Lan Wangji stands there, and he comes bearing gifts.

It's not much, but it's all he has to give. He comes with a jar of Emperor smiles and a bouquet of flowers that he bought from one of the florist shops. All the flowers are red to match his red ribbon. Both which he hands it over.]

Wei Ying. It's for you.

[Wei Wuxian often sleeps late, and today is no different. When he answers the door, it's with hastily thrown on robes and messy hair, still rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He blinks a few times, looking from the flowers to the wine to Lan Zhan, then breaks into a wide smile.]

Lan Zhan! What's this about?

[He only smiles back and hands him over his gift, the flowers, and the wine. There isn't much he could give, but it's the thought that counts]

It's your birthday today. So Happy Birthday, Wei Ying.

[He's still barely awake, and has never really done much to celebrate the day, but even so, he takes them, smelling the flowers and giving a slight tilt of his head as he looks up.]

Is that today?

[A yawn.]

This is really nice, I know you don't like thanks, but I appreciate it. That you thought of me.

[He slowly nods as he accepts his gifts, smelling the flowers]

Is it today. There will be a party later tonight, so looking forward to meeting you there.

Wei Ying, have you slept well last night?

A party? Oh, I think I heard. That costume thing?

[He shrugs.]

Well enough. Is it that late?

Mn. You should go find a costume at the boutique shops later on for tonight.

[With a nod, he smiles]

No, but it will be lunchtime in a few hours.

Ah, I guess I can take a look.

[Lan Zhan wants him to dress up? Hm, he wonders what they have...

He yawns again.]

Oh good, good. I guess I can get up.
