He has the same powers he had where he left off in the original canon. Mentally, he's been through a lot that the original "The Untamed" version of Wei Wuxian hasn't. He was trying to solve the mysteries surrounding the Happy Hearts Hotel, became more accustomed to modern settings and technology, experienced the death of some friends, and reunited with his sister, nephew, and adopted son briefly. He finally realized his feelings for his friend and self-professed soulmate, Lan Wangji, and eventually married.
