Lan Wangji is at Wei Ying's bedside when he chooses to wake, meditating seated by their bed, looking up when he starts to stir. Lan Wangji then moves to sit at the foot of the bed and procures his qin from the hammerspace in which it resides. He begins to pluck a song: it's a new one that he hasn't played for anyone just yet. It's soft, but quite fast-paced for Lan Wangji, and a happy composition.
He finishes playing, and puts his qin away, back from whence it came. He waits, patiently, for a verdict.
